The New Orleans All stars will feature the closest trumpeter to Louis Armstrong in the world – the outstandingly talented Alan Bateman. Alan co-leads The Bateman brothers Jazz Band, with his brother Ian. He is currently performing in a sell-out show recreating the ‘50s Louis Armstrong All Stars arrangements to great acclaim

Joining Alan will be the internationally famous clarinet / saxophonist,Duncan Batchelor.

A New Orleans Style riverboat shuffle demands a tailgate trombonist. We have selected perhaps the best there is – anywhere – Mike Pointon.

Mike is multi-talented. His trombone skills have been heard alongside the likes of Capn’ John Handy, Albert Nicholas and Mezz Mezzrow and a host of top Brit bands, including Ken Colyer and Sammy Rimington. He is also a respected writer and broadcaster, producing some pivotal series’ for the BBC, including ‘Melly on Jelly’ with the late and much missed George. Together with Martin Colyer and Ray Smith, he wrote the award winning, ‘Goin’ Home – the Uncompromising Life & Music of Ken Colyer’.

Banjo wizard, Tim Phillips, has a fine pedigree, including recording with the Guv'nor, Ken Colyer.

.Bassist, Keith Donald has played with so many great musicians in a career stretching back over 35years. He has provided that bass pulse for such luminaries as Humphrey Lyttelton, Acker Bilk, Monty Sunshine, to name a very few.up on a riverboat shuffle anywhere. Can you afford to miss this?

Tickets are just £33.50 per person. If you or your club can get a party of 10 or more, we can do a special price.
